As an Italian immigrant in the 1940’s, Michael George had a vision to start a business in Birmingham, Alabama. That vision came to life as Michael’s Refrigeration Company in the 1960’s and Michael spent the next 40 years servicing small grocery stores, convenient stores, and restaurants across Birmingham, as well as the local farmers at the Alabama Farmers Market.

As a tribute to Michael and his legacy, MRC Mechanical was established in 2021 by Michael’s grandson. MRC furnishes HVAC and plumbing commercial construction services across the state of Alabama and with decades of knowledge and experience, we are well equipped to deliver a wide range of customizable solutions while embracing the customer first values established by Michael George over 60 years ago.
